Predictye ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website and service available at predictye.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your data.

By using Predictye, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you create an account or use our service, we collect information you provide directly:

• Account email address and display name
• Images you upload for resale value predictions
• Questionnaire responses and details you submit about items
• Messages sent through the Predictye chat interface

OAuth sign-in data — Facebook

If you choose to sign in with Facebook, we receive from Meta the information you have authorized Facebook to share, which typically includes your name, email address, and profile photo. We use this solely to create or identify your Predictye account. We do not post to Facebook on your behalf or access any other Facebook data.

OAuth sign-in data — Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive from Google the information you authorize Google to share, which typically includes your name, email address, and profile photo. We use this solely to create or identify your Predictye account.

Anonymous analytics data

We automatically collect certain usage data to understand how the service is used, including session tokens, pages visited, prediction interactions, device and browser metadata, IP-derived city (not full IP address), and UTM campaign parameters.

How we use your information

• To provide the Predictye service and generate resale value predictions for the items you submit
• To create and manage your account
• To improve and develop the product based on usage patterns
• To communicate with you about your account or the service
• To comply with legal obligations

Third-party services and data processors

We use the following third-party services to operate Predictye. Each service processes data only as necessary to provide that service:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — Powers our AI prediction feature. Images you upload and questionnaire responses you submit are sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their use of this data.
• Cloudinary — Stores and processes images you upload. Images are retained to support your prediction history.
• MongoDB Atlas — Hosts our database, which stores your account information, prediction history, and chat history.
• Vercel — Hosts and serves the Predictye application.
• Meta / Facebook — Provides OAuth sign-in if you choose to log in with Facebook.
• Google — Provides OAuth sign-in if you choose to log in with Google.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With the third-party service providers listed above, as necessary to operate the service
• If required by law, court order, or government authority
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of Predictye or its users
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where you will be notified

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data that is not linked to your identity may be retained for a longer period for product improvement purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data — see our Data Deletion page
• Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis

Children's privacy

Predictye is not intended for users under the age of 13, or under 16 in the European Union. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these ages. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users via a notice on the site. Continued use of Predictye after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
